Our Junior Men squad headed to Port Dover on July 27-29 and came home with a Championship.

The team started off strong Friday night in Simcoe, winning 8-1 against London by the strong pitching of Jake Timukas and grandslam from Damon Crumplen.

Saturday morning the team headed to Port Dover and came away with a 13-3 mercy win over the team from Mansfield. Pitcher Connor Kowalik and reliever Adam Lencz lead the team from the hump for the win.

Saturday night saw the men back at the diamond for a night game against Leamington, falling 8-2. Eric Brown was on the mound, with Nick Ridley coming in relief.

After the round robin, there were 4 teams sitting at 2-1, moving to the tie-breaker for seeding, leaving the Eagles sitting in 3rd place.

Sunday morning, the refreshed Eagles squad competed against the home town Port Dover Clippers in a 7-5 victory. Jacob Douglas pitched 6.66 innings with Avery Chenier coming in to close out the game facing one batter for the final out of the game. Chenier also recorded a HR for the Eagles.

In the finals, Halton Hills and London were in a back and forth battle, with the Eagles coming out on top 5-4. Pitcher Robert McDougall went the full game on the mound.

The entire squad was involved in the tournament victory. Congratulations to Coach DeMelo and his Junior squad.

The Junior Men also won the Mississauga North tournament in June.
